The Part IIB project is a major feature of the Engineering Tripos. It is intended to be demanding, to test student’s skills to the utmost and to allow students to prove that they are of MEng standard.

Detailed guidance in student project work is primarily the responsibility of the supervisor. However, overall control within each group is in the hands of a Group Coordinator. Some of the day-to-day contact will be with the group centres, which provide a channel for communication and a source of information for both students and staff. Students should familiarise themselves with the details and routine practices of their group early in the year to maximise the support on offer and to avoid confusion over handing in times, etc.

The overall project coordinator is Prof A H Gee.
